This recipe for homemade almond paste requires only four ingredients. Use it to decorate your cakes and cookies.

Ingredients:



1 cup ground almonds
1 cup icing sugar
1 beaten egg white
1 tablespoon rose syrup (or brandy)

Instructions:

Whisk together the almond powder with beaten egg white, icing sugar and rose syrup until you obtain a smooth paste, compact, and sticky.

Let the dough stand in a cool place(but not the refrigerator) for a minimum of 12 hours, by wrapping in a sheet of aluminum foil.

Keep the prepared dough in the fridge, by wrapping it in cling film to prevent from drying out.
